The Society last played Oliver!  in 2011 to a sell-out audience at Shrewsbury's Theatre Severn. The musical is based on the novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. The award winning Society will perform Oliver! from March 21 to March 24 at 7.30 pm with a Matinee at 2.30 pm on the 24th.

In this award-winning adaption of the Broadway musical, nine year old orphan Oliver Twist falls in with a group of street-urchin pickpockets led by the Artful Dodger and masterminded by the criminal Fagin. The Society is also hoping to perform Priscilla Queen of the Desert later in 2018.
The Society has recently won the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) Barnes Cup for the best programme in the West Midlands area – for Return to the Forbidden Planet in the Standard Programme Competition. The Society was nominated for a 2016 Best Musical Award in District 2 – the West Midlands.
